Proposal : Wall Paintings

Part 1 - Commission an architectural survey and elevation of both sides of the main street in Stromness, that accurately sets out the buildings in their existing positions and at the correct levels. From this information lines drawing of the building outlines can be developed, as can an abstraction of the windows.

Part 2 - On one side of a gallery, fine outlines of gable-end buildings, taken from one side of the street, to be meticulously painted on to the wall in their correct locations. On the other side of the gallery, an abstraction of the windows from gable-ends taken from the other side of the street to be painted in their correct positions.
