"With elemental forms and printed text, Elise Campbell (b. 1975, Aberdeen) acknowledges the socio-economical narrative of Peterhead as a harbour town situated on the North Sea. Her work is a distillation of Peterhead’s historical trade networks of Greenlandic Cryolite, Philadelphian petroleum oil, Baltic timber and coal that arose following the demise of the town's whaling industry in the late 19th century."
