Red Fire Cable is a playful response to the rich topography of the Patriothall Gallery ceiling. The installation mimics the language of the existing studio fire alarm cabling; a striking red line that runs through and unites the white gallery spaces. The viewer is unclear as to where the actual cable ends and where the artwork begins, and thereafter cannot escape the sight of electrical systems within the gallery which are overlooked in every day life.
