THE BLOGPROCESSRE-SCALE
Re-scale
John David Mooney Foundation, Chicago, USA 2010

Materials: industrial pipe, black paint, black vinyl letters, blog

A collaborative installation for an exhibition at the John David Mooney Foundation, Chicago. The exhibition was the culmination of the first of two group residencies at the John David Mooney Foundation. The groups established a blog, Ecologies in the Collective, to sustain communication between Edinburgh and Chicago and to develop research and ideas. The blog represented for the collective, a virtual and immaterial space where the relationship between physical and conceptual site was questioned and challenged. Site became transitory. Conversations between the group were the linking element between the two sites, influenced by different temporal and spatial parameters.

Re-scale was in collaboration with Catriona Glover, Stefania Strouza and Trevor Parker and was a response to discourse in relation to the blog and concepts of space.
