Saughton Park
Saughton Park, Edinburgh, Scotland 2009 -
Ongoing involvement with the development of a long-term social art project for Saughton Park, Edinburgh, supported by City of Edinburgh Council and The Corstorphine Project (a not-for-profit organisation that runs the cafe in the winter gardens.)
Outline art proposals have been submitted to and approved in principle by the City of Edinburgh Council and The Corstorphine Project. The project is currently on hold.
Proposals include: the development of an arts festival exhibition; makeover of existing cafe area and establish it as a social hub for the park; a series of themed events; grow onions in the rose beds - a homage to the land girls who worked the gardens; connect the cafe to the gardens; grow food plants and herbs in raised beds to generate funds; art workshops with local schools.
